Streams of Joy Devotional For Today 27th May 2025

TOPIC: NO LOSSES
SCRIPTURE: “And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.” (Judges 16: 28)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Samson prayed to God to strengthen him once more, that he may be avenged of the Philistines for his two eyes. Samson wanted vengeance on account of his two eyes. It seemed that his two eyes were a price too much to pay, and Samson demanded for vengeance. The enemies touched what they should not have touched, and Samsom demanded for just one more chance, that he may be avenged.

Friend, don’t sit back and watch the enemy touch what he shouldn’t touch. Don’t sit back and allow the enemy to truncate the things that are important to you. Don’t allow the enemy to get away with stealing the things that matter to you. Don’t allow the enemy to get away with making a mess of the vision that God Himself gave to you. Don’t allow the enemy to get away with touching what is needed for you to remain relevant.

When they cut off the hair of Samson, the hair began to grow again; even his strength came back when he prayed, but his eyes did not come back, and he demanded for vengeance. There are things you allow the enemy to truncate, and there just might never be a replacement or remedy. If you allow the enemy to keep playing games in your life, he will eventually destroy the very things you won’t be able to replace.

If there be areas of your life that the enemy has tampered with, demand for restoration. Take back what the enemy took from you. Take back that treasure he stole from you. Take back your health; take back your wealth; take back your resources; take back your opportunities; take back your greatness; take back your relevance; take back your congratulations; take back your glory; take back your harvest; take back your portion.

Deliberately keep whatever is important to you, out of the reach of the enemy. Don’t allow the enemy to tamper with what is important to you.
2 Thessalonians 1: 6 says: “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;”

Declare With Me: Nothing that matters to me will be truncated by the enemy, in Jesus’ name!
